「花と現代美術の出会い　松本邸庭園」
”Traditional Flower Arrangement Meets Contemporary Art in the Matsumoto Garden”

水路（堀割）が巡る街、福岡県柳川市の武家屋敷「松本邸」での生花・庭園とのコラボレーション展示。 古い邸宅の軒先に、白いストッキングを素材とした作品を設置した。縫い合わされたストッキングと、そこから広がる伝線によって作り出されたパターンは、有機的な軽やかさと鋭い緊張感を同居させている。こうした構造体は、自然界の色彩の中において、黒よりもむしろ白が持つ際立った存在感を浮き彫りにする。

歴史を重ねた建築の重厚な佇まいに対し、白い膜は光を透過させ、風に揺れ、時にガラスにその影を映し出す。それは、日常の片隅にある素材が、場所の記憶と呼応しながら、新たな境界線を空間に描き出す試みである。

A collaborative exhibition featuring Ikebana, garden design, and contemporary art at the Matsumoto Residence, a historic samurai villa in Yanagawa, Fukuoka.

For this installation, I suspended works made from white stockings under the eaves of the traditional residence. The patterns, created through the meticulous sewing of stockings and the resulting ladders (runs) in the fabric, evoke a sense of organic lightness intertwined with sharp tension. Such structures highlight the striking presence of white—a color that stands out more vividly than black amidst the natural hues of the garden.

Contrasting with the dignified, historic architecture, the white membranes permeate light and sway in the breeze, occasionally casting reflections of their shadows onto the glass. This work is an attempt to draw new boundaries within the space, as a mundane material resonates with the deep-seated memories of the site.
