何かが忘れられ、失われていく過程を追う試み。 閉校した学校に残された落書きや建物についた無数の傷跡を撮影し、それらが川の流れや宇宙の星々といった、別の風景へと変容していく過程を映像として構成した。その映像は、教室に置かれた「かつての机」と、机の形に切り抜かれたパンチカーペットの上に投影される。

自分のものではないはずの誰かの記憶が、学校という普遍的な装置を通じて、懐かしさを伴って追体験される。そこにあるのは、実在しなかったはずの「思い出」と、そこからたぐり寄せられる思いもよらぬ遠い風景である。

A project tracing the process of things being forgotten and lost.
I captured the graffiti and scars left behind in an abandoned school, editing them into a short film where these traces undergo a metamorphosis into entirely different landscapes, such as flowing rivers or celestial stars. The video is projected onto an original school desk and a punch carpet cut out in the shape of a desk.

Through the universal setting of the “school,” the memories of unknown others are relived with a sense of nostalgic familiarity. These are “memories that never existed”—yet they act as a thread, pulling forth unexpected and distant landscapes from within the space.
