日本建築の基本単位であり、茶室や最小限の生活空間でもある「四畳半」を、等身大のライトボックスとして構築した。それは、伝統的な身体感覚を呼び起こす親密なスケールである。その上にストッキングを用いたインスタレーションを展開し、発光する白い面と繊細な黒い構造体が成す強いコントラストによって、石庭（枯山水）を思わせる抽象的な風景を描き出した。

鑑賞者が付属のスイッチボックスを操作すると、作品内の数箇所に赤いLEDが点灯する。この光は、この四畳半の空間が実は広大な風景の模型であることを示唆し、鑑賞者は自身と作品との距離がダイナミックに伸縮するような「視点の跳躍」を体験することになる。

For this project, I constructed a life-size lightbox measuring 4.5 tatami mats (Yojohan)—the fundamental unit of Japanese architecture and the traditional scale of a tea room or minimal living space that evokes a deep-seated, bodily awareness. Upon its surface, an installation of stockings creates a stark contrast between the luminous white plane and delicate black structures, reminiscent of a Zen rock garden.

When viewers operate the accompanying switch box, red LED lights illuminate several points within the work. These lights reveal that this intimate, 4.5-mat space is, in fact, a model of a vast landscape. This interaction invites the audience to experience a “leap of perspective,” as the perceived distance between themselves and the artwork dynamically expands and contracts.
