福岡県柳川市、市の指定文化財である伝統的な日本家屋でのインスタレーション。 かつて人々の暮らしがあったその空間に、ストッキングを素材とした「膜」を介入させた。 

日本建築特有の強く静止した水平垂直の構造に対し、この有機的な形態は、風を捉えて音もなく回転し、部屋の空間を変化させ続ける。その動きは、目には見えなくなっても確かにそこに存在し続ける「かつての住人たちの気配」や「堆積した記憶」を、現代の光の中に呼び起こす試みである。

A site-specific installation within a traditional Japanese house, a designated cultural heritage site in Yanagawa, Fukuoka. Into this space, where the rhythms of daily life once unfolded, I introduced “membranes” crafted from stockings.

In contrast to the rigid horizontal and vertical lines characteristic of Japanese architecture, these organic forms capture the breeze and rotate soundlessly, continuously transforming the atmosphere of the room. This movement is an attempt to evoke the “lingering presence of past inhabitants” and “accumulated memories” that persist invisibly within the space, calling them forth into the light of the present.
